The Resilience Initiative

There is very little discussion in the doctor's office or outside about how we can arm ourselves against adversity.

Time and again, we have physical health concerns, psychological concerns and circumstantial concerns. While there are many ways to go about resolving physical health, mental health and environmental problems, what is urgently needed is 'resiliency consciousness'. The resources, knowledge, capacity and mindset to spring back from adversity and continuously learn and grow.

The resilience initiative hopes to fill that gap by presenting information on the current ideas in resilience research, as well as methods and interventions that can help you recover from adversity and generate learning, in short, build resilience. This will be done primarily in the context of enhancing adaptive recovery from all kinds of chronic illness.

It is important while you create resilience in yourself and your ecosystem to keep in mind that resilience isn't just about recovery from difficulty but can also be viewed from the context of generating the ability for continuous and proactive learning, flexibility and development throughout all the physical, psychological and systemic maneuvering in your life.
